hi guys,

i bought the battlechest awhile ago, but never played. so thiis weekend i went an dbought wrath of the lich king expansion.

I installed everything, downloaded all patches an so, but i want advice on which realm to play.

I have a 4mbps line. I have telkom, mweb, afrihost and axxess as isp's.

what i want to find out guys, which realm should i play in and why, and, which isp from above should i use to play wow with?

well that depends on you. if you wanna go with S.A guys look around i think there is a topic with where the most S.A players are, i would roll there.
then also PVP servers or PVE just depends on your play style.
if you totaly new and dont have any friends playing wow i would suggest going for realm with most S,A okes atleast you get some adive and help that way i would guess
 
I'd say go for a well balanced server.

I'm currently on Blade's Edge, which is a PvE server (no ganking yay!) and there are 49% Horde and 51% Alliance. So well balanced :) It's also a medium pop server so plenty people to group with or guild with :)
 
LOL @ Method. "(no ganking yay)" u weakling. There is so little ganking these days on a PVP server its a joke. Bring back the old days!

I'm also on Blade's Edge, but Method is wrong about the Alliance/Horde ratio, at least when it comes to Wintergrasp, a PvP battle that happens every 2 hours and is quite fun. Alliance dominates it in numbers, so Horde doesn't get WG often, usually about once a day, or at odd hours, like 4 in the morning.

lolwut? I used to be on a PvP server...The ganking is done by the same morons over and over. Gets my blood boiling. And I play a Mage with PvE specs only. Not a fair battle against a Retardin/DK.

Endev8003, as far as I know that's just because Horde slack. But the ratio is very close to 50-50.

Method, where do you get the info from?

I've also played a bit on a PvP server, but got annoyed with it because you get ppl ganking/trying to gank you a lot. The issue I had is that they start doing it as you are busy fighting a mob, etc.

I pretty sure it is more balanced than 72% Alliance and 28% Horde :p

I've been on an imbalanced server before and and you can see the diff by how active the opposing side is in Dalaran. Both Horde and Alliance sides in Dala is always active.

True. At least Alliance still wins WG most of the time, so makes Eternal farming easy.
Too bad the battlegroup sucks, which makes most battlegrounds still a nightmare. I'll just keep to WG.

True that! I think it's just the Horde slacking when it comes to WG.

But hey...For the Alliance! *waits for abusive replies*
