Hi there Mybb people

I want to know what case I must get to fit the following in. Don't want to spend like R1k prefer under R500

Specs:

i7-960
650w PSU
MSI X58 Pro-E
3x Apacer DDR3 1333MHz
500GB HDD
DVD drive
Geforce 8600GTS 512MB

So I need nothing to fancy.

650W PSU is overkill!

You won't need more than a decent 450W PSU!

Also: it would be worth while to rather go for a Sandy Bridge setup, since you're not going to make use of a SLI configuration of any sort, which might bottleneck the PCI-E lanes with the P67 chipsets.

wow ok I see the Raptor 500W on the dealers pricelist. efficiency is about 75% - 80%. If I go for sandybridge I will have to wait for intel to fix the chipset.

thanks for the info guys.

I've never heard of the HEC PSU's, so I would be skeptical with buying one, since I can't find any reviews of it either.

Even something like the Corsair CX430 would suffice for an office PC like that, which doesn't have a power hungry CPU & GPU.

You can always get an Intel motherboard now and just use the SATA 6 ports.

I just thought of the 650w Cause it's the smallest psu the Dealers sell that's 80+ certified
