I was wondering about the prices of a certain website, since they seemed quite cheap to me. But, alas, I have been out of the hardware loop for some time now.

Could you have a look at http://www.zones.co.za/ and give me a rough idea about how good their prices are? Do you know about a cheaper place?

Another thing, I'm looking into buying myself an LCD somewhere in the near future and was particularly wondering about their LCD prices.

20" Acer wide lcd 7000:1 DC ratio 5ms response time for R 1399

22" LG wide 1000:1 DC ratio R 1699

23.6" wide LCD 50000:1 DC ratio 5 ms response time for R 2199

Are these the going prices for LCDs these days? I remember prices of R 1600 for a 17"?

Any suggestions appreciated.

I recommend you speak to PostmanPot... Link to his profile in my sig.

Zones is the cheapest by far imo. Most people complain about the service though so you suffer there ,personally i have never had a bad experience with the pinetown staff ,i have never been to the balito branch so i don't know about them, i did phone in once to ask about a laptop and the guy told me he only had one left and i should come right now if i wanted it i asked if he could reserve it he said no i must come now then he said he had a customer to attend to and put the phone down.So zones is pretty cheap but you might get burnt depending who you deal with so be careful

Well look they are cheap and move plenty stock, they do not have time to piss willy about on the phone :), you want something get there and buy it. They are cheap so holding stock does not seem like something they would do.

fair enough but i mean you don't have to be rude about it.If you are part of a retail store you should at least have some manners to deal with customers.
