Hi Guys

I went to Allen Carr's stop smoking clinic and after that I stopped completely. It's been almost 5 weeks now since I've had my last cigarette.

My problem is that I'm still getting a lot of mood swings, is it suppose to last this long?

Is there anything I can to do avoid mood swings?

Go get 5htp.

I have quit numerous times but my mood swings get the better of me after 3 months, after 3 months i still am in a bad mood and heavily depressed. Some people react in different ways, some are over the mood swings in a couple weeks, other people it can 6-12 months or longer to get over the mood swings. 5htp is about the best for mood swings although it never helped me much.

1. I know of 2 people (long time smokers) who stopped cold and within 6 months, had heart attacks. Any correlation or is that something that would have happened to them anyway?

2. Anyone here who has used Smokescreen ?

Bluno quitting for some people is very hectic, think about the worst mood you can get into. Some people have that for weeks/months so of course it can cause a heart attack. The stress quitting causes some people is extreme.

I used smoked for about 8 years. Last year 22 September I had to go to the hospital because of heart pain, the doctor told me I had to quit smoking and since then I haven't touched a cigarette again. Since I stopped though a lot of the health issues I had also disappeared.

@TheGuy, do you exercise ?

I think I'm also depressed as I don't really feel like talking to people right now but is more drugs really the answer?

I do things on weekends like mountain biking or playing soccer but nothing during the week at the moment.

Well done mate, I'm trying to quit myself, and have been thinking about it a lot this week.

I went to an Allen Carr stop smoking clinic and....

...it was easy. If you are having these mood swings then it is best if you contact the clinic. My friend struggled a little after his session and got some great help on the telephone which only took 5 minutes.

Well done for stopping smoking:)
