Some thoughts from a Kenyan on EASSY

From BD article http://africa.rights.apc.org/index.shtml?apc=n21817e_1&x=3980558:

There are rumours that the (communications) minister will soon issue a declaration that it is an essential facility. We continued to draft the documents looking at the issues and the legal position for an inquiry, but now it's a matter of whether there will be a ministerial determination."

Anyone know whether this has happened yet?

hrm.. state of the nation address. I guess mbeki will once again call for lower telecoms prices and then as everyone fusses that ivy has done nothing she will say something like in the near future, no imminent furture the sat-3 cable system will be a national asset. We will set up a commitee to over see this process.

LMAO. silly DoC.

It must be the free food that bogs down things. It must be good because folks like Ivy seemingly wants to go back for 2nds, 3ds, 4ths and so forth... :D
