Something better than Teamspeak?

Such dilemma

Is there something faster/less bandwidth hungry/clearer than Teamspeak I can use for GW fun?

Skype causes hectic lag (there are 4 of us in one house using the line) and teamspeak has a couple secs lag and some audio degradation.

I suspect I'm searching for the holy grail here but I figured if anyone knew, it would be the MyADSL folks

Xfire's voice chats works ok most of the time. Skype slows things down with more than 3 people in conference quite considerably plus chews your cap nicely too.

Yip, try Xfire. I have used it on a 56k modem with not to much problems.

Bit off the topic, but Im looking for something like teamspeak, that doesnt need an internet connection. Anyone know of anything like it?
Need it for when we lanning and playing DOTA.

Well, teamspeak will work perfectly for you on LAN as it doesn't neccesarily need an internet connection, just an IP and a server. We use it to play DOTA ourselves on our home lan

Ventrilo is very popular amongst Guild Wars and other players. Seems to be taking over from Teamspeak amongst gamers.
