Something feels off

Skim discs or wheel alignment but don't take a bunch of punters advice about your brakes dude - head to your mechanic pronto!
In the case of warped rotors, I would strongly recommend replacement and not skimming.
I offer advice, but how it's implemented is solely dependant on the individuals capabilities, and if not that mechanically competent then it sure is best to get the job done by a good service station.

hey Frankenstein, im surprised, you didnt use the word troll in your post. Edit ...

I'd going along with the suggestion that your brake disks are warped, which can explain the excessive free play before getting braking effect and the strange twitching of the steering.
It's likely that only one of the brake rotors (disks) is warped.

When the brake rotors warp they displace the brake pads back into the callipers due to the rotor axial run-out and then when the brakes are applied the pads need to advance further than normal to grip the rotors.

When accelerating from a standstill or after braking while cruising, the warped rotors will once again displace the pads into the callipers, which will most likely cause the twitch at that time.

The brake rotors are subjected to extreme thermal cycling, and any impurity in the casting will cause them to warp.

I have the same problem on my Toyota Tazz. Whenever I brake I get an extreme shudder on the steering wheel and brake pedal. I have skimmed the disks numerous times, even replaced them a few times, but the problem seems to return after only a few weeks.

I just replaced my rims with mags and replaced my tyres as I started getting a shudder while driving. The brake problem persist even after balancing and alignment. I noticed however that the Caster on my car is 2"11' (left) and 2"22' (right) where the specification for my car is between 0"50' and 1"50.

When I asked the person who did the alignment for me about this, he said that the Caster can not be adjusted. After doing some googling, I found that if your Caster is outside of the specifications on car that can't be adjusted, something should be repaired or replaced.

My first question is:
Could the Caster readings be the source of my problems the last 5 years?
My second question is:
WHY DID NOBODY SERVICING MY CAR OR DOING THE ALIGNMENT TELL ME ABOUT IT? It cost my thousands of rands to keep replacing tyres, brake pad and disks.

The castor will only cause the steering to drift in a direction without causing any of the typical wheel alignment tyre wear patterns, and won't cause the brake shudder etc.

I suggest that you find a good brand name competition brake rotors and callipers.
