Brilliant init? You pay them each month, then they **** you over like this when you change your debit order details. They deducted the cash TWICE from my account

Which leaves me little ass without ANYTHING for the rest of the month. And the beautiful support people cant help but to "open a ticket" and can't do f*ckall about this.... what the hell

I'm going to ride their asses with causing so much inconveinience.... you can mess with my bandwidth, but you f*cking touch my money and I explode!

Why do you have to "put your two cents in"... but it's only a "penny for your thoughts"? Where's that extra penny going to?
 
just check your accounts, i wouldn't have noticed this till it was too late if i was on a meager 128k package

I shared this piece of information for the sole reason to make you aware of your own accounts and go check if Sentech might be billing you double this month.

just pulling your chain noone as i know how pissed off you must be. phone your bank this morning and tell them to reverse the debit order if they can. not sure if you have to do this before the debit order goes through your account.
 
Their debit order billing run is on the 1st and 4th of each month, I changed my billing information because credit cards are evil, and when the money didn't go off on the 1st I called support yesterday and they told me that if the money didn't go off last night that I should call again on Monday and open a ticket (woopie doodaa)

So this morning I checked, and *poof* the money I was saving for the trip down to cape town and suprise my gran for her 80th was gone.

I may be wrong but as far as I am aware one has up to 21 days after a debit order has gone through to dispute the transaction. Check with your bank - if this is the case reverse the bloody thing - or at least the double payment amount - not only will this p*ss Sentech off they should also get nailed with a chargeback fee for a returned debit order by their bank - hehehehe
 
I remember once MWeb (yes many years ago I was once stupid enough to be on MWeb, worst ISP I've ever had) double-billed me (I think they did it to a whole bunch of accounts). I paid bank charges for BOTH debit orders AND for the transfer of the refund.

When I cancelled my Icon account some years ago (at that stage they were already WorldOnline and service and support were much worse than when they were Icon) they conveniently 'forgot' and billed me an extra month. It took me literally about five months of phoning them and hassling them to get my money back, not even worth the effort but I wasn't going to give up, on principle. Every time I called they had another excuse or told me that it would be refunded "soon" or "next month" or "in the next two weeks", and every time it never happened. I'm sure that if they were doing this on purpose to people who cancelled their accounts, (a) a large percentage would never notice and (b) a large percentage of those who did notice would just let it go due to the hassles. If it wasn't a scheme though, then it is just plain incompetence. They expect you to pay your monthly payments timeously, but if they owe *you* money, well ...

My experience has been that banking institutions and finance departments in this country suffer from incredible incompetence - they can't seem to do ANYTHING right the first time, and you always have to phone them a few more times to make them do again, correctly, what they should just have done correctly the first time round. It drags the whole economy down, because it basically takes twice as much resources to get anything done, everything takes much longer, it drives up business costs (e.g. time/labour, making phone calls, double-checking everything), etc. There is no excuse for idiotic mistakes like double-billing customers when they change their banking details, even a retarded monkey hired for handling customer payments issues MUST be capable of thinking "OK this debit order should start the month AFTER this one ends".
 
Visit your branch fill in a form, and the money will be back in your account the next business day.
 
But noone, you've got LOADS OF CASH!!! (as you keep reminding us) Why should it matter? Pay them a third time!
 
Dont take the piss on this one, and I support noone on this one, you would not be making the quirky remarks if double charged you. You would be spitting mad ! So everyone check your accounts as one of my clients has been double billed, as well as one client was put on a higher package than they applied for and then billed for that.
