Each base station can handle a maximum of 24mbps

Thats a total of 24 ppl downloading at full speed at one time.

Or 58 ppl downloading at 512

or 116 ppl downloading at 256

or 232 ppl downloading at 128

or as in the case of bryanston today possibly 564 ppl downloading at 64

The last does not make any sense but remember the first few.

Maybe they really do have more than 564 ppl on the northcliff and bryanston stations? -- Bad planning if you ask me.

you also on bryanston, seburn? I live on the edge between River Club and Bryanston. I don't think that it's so much a case of Base Stations being able to handle 24mbits, it's 24mbits per array at the base station, and i'll bet that bryanston-bs has more than 1 array. It's still slow, though.

Aggree but it could get ugly too quickly for them to respond...or wait to respond after their call center is flooded.

Yes see my new sig

please don't over simplify it, as I understand it 4mbit is for signaling and the tower can support 5 times that 24mbit, so its closer to 100mbit at anyone time, Also not everyone downloads at 1mbit all the time 24/7, I remember having these talks on myADSL in Jan, Noone (the guy) knows why theres 5 x 24bit, I don't, Radio Technology goes over my head (get it?, meh nevermind)
