Anybody if something's up with the Payfast link?

I am trying to make a purchase on the new "Prepaid Gamer Site" trying to renew my Xbox Live Gold (3 Month purchase) with the InstantEFT way, but every time i click on the "Make Payment" Button, it then gets to the Payment Redirection page and then i get this message: Redirecting to secure payment gateway...

Which then leads to the page below, and i keep getting it...?

Are you still getting it? I tried checking out with Instant EFT now, and it redirected fine?

Still giving me the error hey... And this is on Chrome. On IE9 it just times out when redirecting?

If you go directly to https://www.payfast.co.za/ does it do the same thing? I see that error can be caused by a number of things, the most common is an incorrect time on the PC. Pulled this from here: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chrome/kKS74vgBEm8

  • If your time and date zone is out, it cause this error. Check "Synchronize with an internet time server" on date and time settings, change the server and press "Update now".
  • Could be an anti-virus blocking it. Check the logs.
  • Could be spyware. Make sure you run a virus scan.

Still getting the same issue hey, tried all the above, and im still getting this error? Antivirus is not blocking it, Virus scan is not picking anything up. And My time zone and config is synced with our Deployment Application (Altiris) at work.

It looks like a certificate error?

And it only seems to be with the Payfast option, the other 2 options are fine. (Its just i dont have a credit card and a Bank Transfer might take some time. But if i still have the issue by 11:30, then ill rather just use the Bank Transfer method.

PayFast Issues

Hi,

Jonathan here from PayFast. I apologise for the issues that you may be experiencing with PayFast, and I would like to help resolve the issue.

We are not currently having any issues with our SSL certificate, so it is odd that you are having problems.

The IE issue you mention leads me to think that there may be a connectivity issue between us. Do you see the problem if you just browse our site normally? https://www.payfast.co.za

There could also be a proxy between us that could be causing issues.

If you are sitting on the error page and you click on the lock next to the URL, you should get some more information about the issue. Could you send through this information too?

And lastly, are you able to ping and traceroute to our server, 41.74.179.194?

Hey Jonathan,

You can ignore this hey, its actually our works IT that's blocking this, its really the Banks network that's too blame because i tested on my home pc and is in order, and i've also already made a transfer and sorted it out.

But thanks for all your help!
