Something wrong with my addons

I've installed 3.0.2 only addons

On patch day I checked that my Zygor Guides are still working. This morning I figured I'd cull the lot and just update (Except for my Zygor)

So now I've brand new addons, but some of them are marked red. Even though load out of date addon's is checked.

For example, Talented.

Now my Zygor guides aren't working either.

Is there anything I can check or reset somehow? I did delete my WTF profile but nothing changed
 
Oh, don't worry you aren't the only one :confused:

My beloved raidframes died a spectacular death... it worked fine on Wed, but Thuurs when I logged in I could see no chat :confused: wtf?

After messing for ages I found it was Grid that was being nasty, and once disabled, all worked fine again...:rolleyes:

This ofc sets me back as healzor cos now I need to reconfigure my unitframes to be raidframes now too :mad:

The stupid thing is... I know this chat thing has happened to about 5 of my friends, and each time its a different addon that causes it :confused:

So who knows... things will calm doown in a week or so I spose... its usually like this after a major patch anyway, and will be worse when LK hits :o

yea but still, even after disabling everything and just loading 1 thing it doesn't work either. shows up as red in WoW. It didn't do that the other day...
 
Addons will be screwed for awhile. Such is life. I was expected it, so I am not suprised.

I found I had more problems by loading out of date addons.

I use wowmatrix so I just run that before I log and then enable the ones that arnt red. if I have hassles, disable them and try again tomorrow. I got SpartanUI working by fiddling with some of the Lua code values. Turns out Bartender4 doesnt save your action bar positions and therefore it resets the positions to the "harcoded" values evertime you logon or even change zones. So I adjusted the "hardcoded" values.

Auctioneer, Arkinventory etc, just fouls up everything atm.
 
I had a few issues with certain addons but most of the ones I use have been updated.
I had to switch from Bongo's to Domino's (same author), drop SimplecombatLog, switch from Prat to Chatter (better Mod so it was a nice bonus), start using Chinchilla, drop Dotimer (didn't like the new one) and replace it with Classtimer.

All in all my UI looks almost identical with a few very minor changes so I'm all set.

This is because the WoW version number went by a "major" number. i.e. from 2 to 3. If its just a "minor" number change, i.e. 2.3 to 2.4, it usually isnt a big issue.

We had the same drama from WoW 1 to 2.
 
Yeah, i deleted all my addons, and installed Dominos and Quartz. Even though they red in the menu they seem to be working hundreds..

On the subject, anyone know how to move the quartz casting bar?

Yes but thats the thing, tested it on Wednesday and it worked fine. Was missing the rest of my addons so I just upgraded.

The issue here is they show up RED even though they're not out of date and worked on 3.0.2 before.

In the Quartz options (I use FuBar so its an option under there) click on Player, then uncheck Lock, move to desired place (it shows up automatically when you uncheck Lock) then recheck Lock.

I also just killed all my addons and installed a couple of updated ones via WowMatrix and Curse: Bartender4, Quartz, FuBar, Ora2, ArkInv (no probs with that yet), WIM (lotsa probs, so disabled) and Cartographer, think there were more, just can't remember :P
