Somethings up with my connection?

thanks alot bru, i see that, gonna make some coffee now , and get down to it, i got a long night ahead of me....lol
 
ok so i have been looking to see what i can find about what is eating my bandwidth and still i cant see anything, i'v tried closing all my programs,

and still today i come online, all i went to was these sites.......axxess, webafrica, telkom, Myadsl, and 2 other local sites that i stayed about 2 min in,,, and i have used exactly

24,202,331 download, and 14.673.141 upload


how strange is that
 
bru, make that pic of the Task Manager bigger ...... just a wee bit on the unreadable side ;)
 
yeah i tried,,, but the thing only allows 600x 600....lol...so if u can suggest another easy way to do it,,, i will send it in
 
1. Check to See if your firewall is on. If not Switch it on.

Wait 1 -2 hours with your firewall on. Now check the logs of the Firewall for any suspiciouse activity that may indicate a trojan or a worm of some kind.

NB. if you are using windows firewall you will not have the log option, as it only blocks incoming traffic and not outgoing traffic.

2. You can additionally download a Program called Trojan Shield, which has an extensive database of trojans that it can wipe from your system very easily.

3. Advanced Windows Care V2 Personal is another program which will remove all unused programs and remove and malicious registry entries that may be causeing problems on your machine.

:confused: just press 'Print Screen' > open Paint > paste the screenshot in there > crop just the Task Manager > save as a jpeg > upload it here.
 
nah, hehe ... if you'd asked me a month ago I would've had one huge blank expression :D
 
Those 2 instances of Skype are probably your main sources for your bandwidth getting slaughtered ...... jusched.exe - checks for Java updates, could be eating bandwidth too. The others, all normal by the looks of it but again, I'm no expert.
 
use Winpatrol to disable it .... I don't bother because I still want to do the firmware upgrade.
