if you're really worried you can tell your friends that something's not right but not give the details the ass confided in you. i'd be too scared of karma to betray any confidential information.

It's quite simple actually. Don't tell the rest of the group what he told you in confidence.

You might not like him and feel this betrayal of trust is justified, but at the end of the day the rest of the group will judge you for the betrayal of trust, irrespective of whether it's justified or not.

So all in all the group will be less likely to trust you. So as someone else mentioned, it will be seen as weak character.

His friends and family are great and are friendly with my friends and family so therefore I`d rather tolerate him than deal with his and my people asking me why aren`t you friends and stuff
