Sometimes my pee doesn't stop

I think I've had that before. Seems to happen for a few days then disappear for long. Maybe inflammation in the bladder or urethra as your body adjusts for winter? Muscle fatigue? It could be any number of things. Perhaps a Urologist would be a good idea if it doesn't go away in a few weeks.

I went to the Specialist about having a precautionary PSA test, and he refused. He said that I would be wasting my money and I should only start getting PSA tests done after about 45.

Just make sure you wash your arse before you go to the doctor.

If my bladder is intensely full (like after a full night's uninterrupted sleep), I need to sometimes 'push' to get it all out. Has always been like that for me, since I can remember. Don't think I have a problem.

If you're worried you probabky should still see the urologist.

What happened to checking the prostate via blood-test these days .... I'm sure the finger test thingy is a thing of the past for quite some time already :eek: ...
or do you people just bend over before knowing what the doctor wants to do? :D

THIS THIS THIS is what happens to me. Your words describes it better than my words. It's that pushing action while you think you've finished already.

I only experience this when I would consider my bladder over-full. You probably just don't pee regularly enough. Take a week and add 1.5 litres of water to your daily routine. And if you feel the need to push again, keep a jug next to the toilet and use warm water to relax your muscles. This is a useful treatment for UTIs.

Yes, that's the term I should have used. It happens to me only when my bladder is definitely over full. When you pee a LOT, like in Dumb & Dumber (if anyone remembers the scene when the cop pulled them over:p)

A bit OT, but still related: Have anyone had a proper full body check-up? I have been thinking about the fact that I may have cancer and not know it, untill symptoms show at which time it may be too late. Is there a standard test one can go for to screen for things like cancer that is accurate? I would presume that such an exam would include prostate screening, cholesterol, etc?

Bottomline is most men only go to the doctor when sick...some of the serious stuff like cancer and heart disease linger for years without being noticed, and by the time they cause symptoms it may be too late.

I believe that only applies to a very few prostate conditions and even then isn't very accurate.

You can't feel swelling with a blood test for instance.

It's not the end of the world anyway. Do a Gooogle for Billy Connoly's prostate exam if you want a laugh though.
