Sonic

And I thought this thread was about hedgehogs...

Yeah I totally thought this would be a thread about that little blue hedgehog, Knuckles, Tails, and the rest of the Sega gang. My bad...

The sonic is horrible. If you must, rather get the new spark. Much better car. And you will save quite a lot.

Spark is pretty nice, yeah the boot is tiny but otherwise the ride height and comfortableness of it is great. Also fuel economy

Sonic is not bad but for a little less you can get a Corsa Essentia 1.4 74kw and every owner I have come across so far (my self included) are very happy with them.

Lol.

It's the Corolla Quest which is just the old Corolla made cheaper. TBH the Corolla IMO is a car for older people. It looks old!

I'm not sold on the 1.2L. It's weak. If 1.2 will then rather get an i10 or wait for the i10 grand when it comes around August.

The Quest is the old Corolla with the new Corolla engine giving you a mighty 90kw of power.

Not really deserving of the term "mighty" to be honest. Healthy, satisfactory, decent, not shabby etc yes, but not mighty. The one thing that might be a concern with that 1.6 though is that the torque only hits peak at 5,200 rpm, which would mean that it wouldn't be too happy uphill in Gauteng.

I would imagine the new Renault Clio to be a worthy competitor.

If I could get over my fear of frenchtalian cars that is.

I think he was being sarcastic...

Think I'm going to take it. Re the colour. Why do people say you shouldn't take a black car? Sure scratches will show but is there any other reason?

It gets a lot hotter in summer than a white or light coloured car. Not much of an issue if you don't park it in the sun much, and if you have aircon to keep it cool while driving.

Are you sold on spending an extra R80k for a little bit more power and a car universally disliked amongst the car community?
