Is the Sony range of A-DSLR cameras any good? Specifically the A290 or A33L? Those vs a Canon EOS 450D which one would you choose? Perhaps the Sony NEX-3K?

Can get a new one for basically a thousand rand. Figured it is a good a way as any to start building a collection of glass to take to a better body. Was leaning towards the Canon.. Thanks!
