Sony DCR-DVD803E query

Hi Guys

Some urgent help needed please. I have a Sony DCR-DVD803E camcorder, it obviously records directly onto a 1.4Gig dvd, but i cannot find the software packages that came with the camcorder and i really need the pics and videos from the dvd's. And i'm not really sure as to why the dvd doesnt read when i put into a dvd drive on my pc, could it be that the dvd is not finalised from the camcorder, or software related.

Is there something that i can use to read the stuff from the dvd.

And i have also found some info about Picture Package that was supposed to have come with the camcorder, i have checked many times through the stuff i got with it and no such software, i bought the camcorder in Singapore, had to get rid of the box and packed everything from there into the casing but there was no such cd.
So from what i've read, i have to pay for the software from Sony that was supposed to be packaged with the camcorder, just lovely...
