I like the idea of the sony ericsson. I was thinking of the yari but what do you guys think of the sony ericsson walkman? Are there different ones. Which one would you recommend
 
I am with mtn I know the phone I originally wanted, if i moved to vodacom, i would have to pay in a thousand. Thats for the Yari

Going to cancel my contract with Vodacom... Seems like MTN has much better deals!

What kind of phone are you looking for? Camera? Music? Business? Know MTN has a nice special on the HTC Tattoo (I think)... Wish I could get that right now :(
 
I want to get a sony ericsson with a good camera that can play music and that I can mxit with. I love mxit lol

:D Yeah Sony Ericssons are great phones. Maybe have a look at the Satio or Aino? They both nice phones! Satio is the more expensive one though, but it has everything. I think they have similar features, just the Aino has an 8.1MP camera instead of the 12MP. The Satio uses Symbian OS also.

Just had a look at the Aino compared to the W995, I think if you'd like to have a touchscreen phone and don't make video calls then the Aino quite good otherwise the W995 is a dam good phone!

Which contract are you going on?

Aino isnt a smartphone but for what you want to use it for it would be fine, also the touch screen fucntions is also just limited to the media section...

It is expensive though, so if you dont have that big a contract best bet would be the W995...
 
The Aino has limited touch as said above. Otherwise it functions just like a non-touch would and which non-touch phone has a 3 inch screen around these parts?
 
Saw the w995. Deffinitely an awesome phone. Will see how much it costs by the time my contract needs to be renewed. So we shall see.
 
The most important feature to look for are the letters N O K I A on the front!

The latest range of SE handsets are not good, with at least two large outlets withdrawing one model from sale last month! They new SE range can be summed up as superb technology with Chinese build quality!

Didn't they just withdraw one of these?
 
u guys really need to do some research before posting. firstly, which two companies withdrew SE phones? Vodacom? MTN ? i dont think so. the only company to withdraw the Satio was in the UK, so unless u actually living in the UK this wont affect you and besides, its now back on the shelves. Secondly, the net was buzzing with RUMORS that the Aino was withdrawn, a story initially run by GSM Arena but was later corrected after it was found to be false. Im posting this from a Satio. mine has Vodacom/Vodafone software and it works fine. MTN is also offering the Satio and i remember seeing the tv marketing the other day on SABC. The Aino is also now being advertised in some papers cant renember which right now.So tell me again about the big SE withdrawl.
 
Sony Ericssons have awesome build quality. I have a 3 year old K750i. Now I have a C702. They take better pics than a Nokia 5800 and the Walkman Player is the best mp3 player on the market. You will really enjoy the mega bass feature in the mp3 player. Also the user interface is very simple to understand yet extremely attractive. Lastly, the buttons don't fall apart or fade after spending months chatting on mxit.
