YAY fixed!!
I actually took my ps3 to work yesterday opened it up and cleaned it with compressed air. When i got home the date had been reset and i couldn't sign in and i thought WTF have i done now.
Anyways all is well. I wonder if it was a marketing ploy to get people to buy the SLIM
