Stay away. It is a POS.

Could you elaborate why it is a POS please?

The camera is very decent which is what I care for the most, and in terms of specs it is pretty good compared to other phones in its price range, im on contract, and I am looking for something below R300 PM

Phone 1 would die randomly and need to be plugged in before it would start up.

Phone 2 the camera was dead

Phone 3 the wifi will stop working and need to be reassociated with the network for throughput. I now have to run an app in the background to ping the internet. The camera on this one work. Preview looks super sharp, actual picture is soft.

There's better phones from Huawei and Xiaomi than the M5. Even go have a look at the Xperia XA which is in the same price bracket.

hmmm, that's a bit of a tight budget. Even the A3 2016 is nice. Just got one for a family member a couple of weeks ago.

Yeah, its between the P9 lite, A3(2016), Xperia M5 and the LG G4.

The LG G4 has got a very nice camera, but I don't like the curved back, M5 has loads of issues from all over the world, the A3 doesn't have Optical Image Stabilizer like the A5 and the P9 lite has got a Ok camera but video recording quality is bad.

I need a mid range phone with a decent camera+video recorder. All those above are below R300 from Vodacom.

I would really like to stay with Samsung for their decent design and displays, my current phone (S4 mini) lacks the camera quality I need.

Maybe I should wait a bit more to see if A5 prices drop.

If you can get the G4, get it. I had it, and it's a very very good phone.
