Hi Gamers

I am looking at buying my 6 yr old son his first gaming console. He enjoys play station 2 at Dros and his friend place and so on.

Where can I get a good package for the PS2 console with 2 controllers and say two or more game and a memory stick (not so important) The only places I checked are Game, Makro, Hifi corp, other supermarket & hypermakers etc.Or a good price for just the PS2 CONSOLE.

What I know about other consoles are: XBOX too noisy, PS3 too good & too expensive and Wii not enough games and the novelty wears off sooner than you think.

Would You be interested in a used PS2? I have mine i am trying to sell. R1500 for a slimline PS2 with 2 controllers a memory card, a multitap, and 6 games.
 
If you're willing to buy used I'd check out the Cape Ads. Get it first thing on a Thursday morning. There are many used PS2s available and there are always some actual bargains. And although it actually has superior build quality I recommend not buying a fat one because you can't get critical parts like lasers for them.

Thanks guys for your replies and thanks, mooey1232003 thanx for the offer, but the missus want a new unit, she don't do seconds for the little one.

I will check Game,Makro & Hi Fi corp today, thanx again.

Game had a special for the console, 2 controllers and 2 games + 8mb m/card for R2199.I took it.
I went to HiFi Corp first and they had no PS2 in stock, I don't know whats with them, they never have stock of advertised items, never ever.
