I'm looking at upgrading my HT package and have seen the Sony STR-DH500 with 5.1 speaker kit for R5000. Has anybody got this particular package or even just this receiver? If so, would appreciate your feedback on experience with it. I've read a number of complaints online about the fact that it is an HDMI video switcher and so doesn't support audio over HDMI, you have to connect either optical or coax for audio. This isn't a massive problem for me as the PS3 has optical audio out. I've also heard that it doesn't do upscaling so any analogue inputs also require an analogue output to the television. On the flip side I only have the PS3 so not too much of an issue but would be good to hear if anyone's got a DSTV decoder hooked up to theirs and how they find that works.
