I recently bought the Sony VAIO YB35 with the E-450 cpu and 2gb ram. i noticed that it has a dedicated 384MB for the radeon hd6320 gpu, but it also allocates 500mb of ram to share with the hd6320. is there a way to set it to not share the additional 500mb ram, as it cuts your allocated ram in windows down to 1.5gb. Also i am keen to put an SSD drive in this system, will this void the warranty at all?

Why don't you just install another 2GB of RAM seeing it's cheap as chips?
If it has a flap/panel/cover etc on the bottom/side of the unit to access the HDD then you won;t invalid your warranty swapping out the HDD for a SSD.

Thats all well and good to just go buy an extra 2GB, the point is, why is the 500MB shared appointed to the gpu, when it already has 384mb dedicated. and why is there no option in the bios to lower this shared amount.
