I am exteamly disapointed.

I purchased a sony viao BZ15GN. Had endless hassles with it and vista. Finally bought XP and half the issuies disapeard. Now that windows 7 has been launched and i have seen it running so well on many laptops i decided to get it for my Sony :( only to find out that sony does not support Windows 7 on my laptop

What a croc. I will never buy another Sony laptop, they should stick to making TVs and playstations cause it seems thats all they good at

Wtf do you mean Sony does not support Win7?

I think you are talking a croc of shete.

I would not buy a Sony either but not for the reason you listed.

Sony only supports Windows 7 on Laptops that have been sold after june 19 2009.
Phone them and you will see

I just bought a Vaio VGN-FW520 with Windows 7 pre-installed. hope i don't experience the same. I wanted a HP or Dell but couldn't get it so i settled for the Sony. Only getting it in december though.

I think you mean SONY don't "offer" Win7 upgrades on laptops pre-June19th. It's just the upgrade path. It doesn't mean Win7 will not run on any SONY laptops sold before that time. If you can afford the SONY you should be able to afford Win7. Besides, if you put XP on it the upgrade won't apply as there is no upgrade path for XP to Win7 anyway.
