Sony Xperia Active - broken...

My brother's phone tanked, screen won't come on. Device vibrates when it starts up, but screen doesn't power up / respond.

Warranty won't cover it, says phone was abused, which is not the case. Supposed to be a rugged device >.<

Where can I find out how much it would be to repair in the Cape Town area?

Same boat, same question. Just a Ericsson Arc S.
Edit: Barely used. Not starting up. Not charging. Nada.

Where did you have it repaired - same problem Arc S - had some store look at it but recalled it cause they took too long

Mine started working again automagically.

Plugged it into the charger a month or what back and it started charging ... been going ever since.
