Sony Xperia Arc ICS update

When I connect my phone to the PC Companion software it tells me that my phone is up to date (Android 2.3.4). I've contacted Sony Mobile's customer care and they tell me the update is available but they have no clue why it's not giving me the option to update and I should send my phone in to a Sony Mobile service center to get it done.

Has anyone had better luck than me with the ICS update Xperia Arc as yet?

I have 2 Xperia Arc phones.

One updated to ics automatically, and the other will not.

It has to do with the IC code under the battery - they do not all get updated at the same time.

Dissapointing to still see people waiting for this update, I'm pretty sure sony said they would try avoid late updates after the x10...
