Lame that only the US gets the 4.6 inch screen. Yea maybe it's a bit crazy but I'd probably go for that size.

Still, awesome phone. Me want.

Agreed on that. But the S looks a lot better than the ion I think.

I am very slightly disappointed by the lack of a memory card slot and micro-SIM usage, but I am impressed by the look of the latest Timescape UI, as well as the hardware spec. Phone just looks awesome, build quality looks a touch above the Samsung line.

Does anyone have experience with the Xperia Arc and it's supposed viewing angle problem? How bad is it?

My sister has the Arc S from Vodacom, I havent noticed an issue on viewing angles and it has a std size sim slot.
IMO its a very good phone (no dual core is the only real let down for me as a techy but it does'nt seem to affect the phone).

I have the Galaxy s2.

Not sure I want a great viewing angle on a phone screen, everybody around me can clearly see what I'm doing on my Galaxy S thanks to the "amazing" viewing angles. I find myself trying to hide the screen when reading or typing texts :o

So maybe Sony are just ahead of the curve and protecting their consumers? :D BTW- I hide my phone too when using it.

But I also don't think it is such a bad thing... Loving this phone more! Too bad it is still too early for an ETA from anyone...

LOL...just had to! ...
I dont get the whole viewing angle thing either... its not like I'm going to place my phone flat on the desk and lean back as far as i can in my chair and still be able to watch the next episode of FMA
On a TV screen it makes sense coz the braai area on the patio is not always designed to face directly at your TV... BEER, BRAAI, FOOTBALL... thank you viewing angle!
