Does anyone maybe know when about the Sony Xperia T will be launched in South Africa?

I see that it was only released in the UK this month - should be here in a month or two.

Looks like a really cool phone, certainly beats an iPhone 5 !

Pretty sure that it will work with a 64GB microSDXC, most of them do.

And it has a 1.5GHz dual-core Krait CPU ! With a 13Mp camera. And 42.2Mbps HSDPA.

Really want that phone, but I can't wait that long. I'll then take the Galaxy S3, I think...

Well thank you for showing me my next phone. I upgrade next year April so should have stock by then.

That is a long time in this industry, the next model may be out by then.

The previous model, the Xperia S, only came out in March.

I had a bit of a drooling session over these phones at the Vodaworld a short while ago.. They, as well as the V's look spectacular. I'll be making the change from my Iphone first chance I get as well..

Yeah, sorry for getting you all excited in my other post..
My contract is still a ways off before expiring, so for me it's easy. I'll just get whatever high-end Sony phone they have available by that time. I love how different (but classy) they look to all the i-phones and Samsungs..

Any of you guys planning on getting this phone? I quickly went and had a look at it @ the Sony shop in Vodacom World. Grrrrrrr! I was planning on waiting for the V.....but I think the wait is going to be too long.

This phone look great. Pity about the security things they have attached to the phone. Makes it very difficult to get a feel for the phone ans you cant hold it properly. :-(

Ockie, why not wait for the TL to be launched ? The major benifit would be LTE

If you keep your phone for 2 years like most, it would make sense to get a phone that's LTE enabled.
It looks like the TL is to be a AT&T exclusive. It also supports funky LTE frequencies anyways....so who knows if the LTE will actually work here or not. Sony Xperia V would have been fantastic...but not sure if I want to wait that long. Also.....I heard that LTE drains your battery like a SOB ... so I would most likely hardly ever use it. I will then rather get a dedicated LTE router once the prices have dropped on those devices and use it to connect my phone and Nexus 7 tab :-)

Agreed. Same here with me and 3G ! (Which is why my 3G is deactivated most of the time)

But personally I think I would hate to take that leap months before LTE takes off. Chat to the boys at Sony and maybe see if they plan on bringing a SA LTE compatible device in?

This is definitely on my short-list of phones to get. So far its:
Sony Xperia TL
Motorola RAZZOR HD MAXX
Lumina 920
and maybe just maybe NOTE II (LTE)

Motorola RAZZOR HD MAXX

My original plan was to wait for the RAZR M or RAZR I (intel)....but when I saw that the screens are still only 250ppi and pentil matrix then I was like urg! I will then rather go for a completely different Make that has not made me wait for a year to get my software upgrade and that is not scared to put a nice good quality screen in. Also...I did a camera comparison with the sony and moto razr xt910. It is SHOCKING how bad the RAZR photo quality is. I did this on gsmarena. Cant remember how I did this ... but somehwere there is a option where you can compare the photo quality of the different phones.

I have been a avid Moto supportor...hence my AKA nick name on here....but I do believe my patience have run out with them. I dont like it when men are cock teasers...and I like it even less in phone makers! Eventually I WILL strip my moer and tell you to fck off and move to another brand. I have done it with Blackberry....and now I will be doing it with Motorola.

The HD MAXX has 312 ppi which hopefully wouldn't be as bad as the RAZR M :(
Why not go custom ROM route?

Thanks for the heads up though, RAZZOR has been provisionally bumped to the bottom of the queue. :)

If you chat to Sony please update us, I would definitely wait it out if they are planning on bringing out the LTE version. Sony's build quality is top notch. Out of ALL the phones I've had in the past, only two remain. And still function like the day I got them. Which says allot.

Well...the I did ask the guy at the Sony shop when they are expecting the V...and he said international release will likely be end of November...so then we could possibly expect it here in Jan 2013 sometime. This was his estimate though. It did not sound like a official answer at all. That for me is too long. I WANT A NEW PHONE NOWWWW!!!!!!

:p
