Sony z2 on Telkom mobile

Hi there , can anyone please help. I got mine on Telkom mobile and it working great, love the look and feel compared to Samsung s3. Just a small problem I'm having when I insert my Vodacom simcard in it doesn't pick up signal at all.
I've tried auto and manual search but won't connect to Vodacom
Please help with and advice

Don't put your Vodascum SIM in then? Use the network that doesn't try to violate your wallet

That doesn't help, still need to use it until I port my number next month. Is there another way 2 get my whatsapp working on z2 with my Vodacom number

Hmmm yeah, slightly complex but can be done unless they completely blocked other networks on the phone, but I doubt it.

I'm not the best at explaining technical support over text though, so I'm sure someone will pop up soon

Yes there is. install and enter vodacom number, wait for the code to come to the voda sim and enter it in the z2. If that doesnt work select the "call me" option

OK great got the whatsapp working woohoo....
Now still trying to get my Vodacom simcard to work in it
