PS3 sales in Japan have plummeted, even the Xbox 360 is selling more software than the PS3 in Japan...

They missed their shipping target and according to other sources there are now 2 million units sitting on shelves and yet you still cannot get your hands on a Wii...

How much longer do you think Sony is going to let this continue before they drop the price?

The time has come for me to speak out...

Is it really fair for a forum member to post a link to their blog article once every couple of days. Imagine if 100 blog owners did this - the only thing on the front page will be links to blog articles. Is that not what Amatomu and similar services were made for.

Look at the last 25 threads started by GM, most are blog link spam:

RPM - Better control this now before it gets out of hand.

To be fair to GM, the content of the blog is relevant to the forum and he could just as easily cut 'n paste the content and put into the thread. I don't think that this needs to be controlled any more than it is now. It only becomes spam when the link is not relevant.

I only post what I feel people in this community would be interested in, I then participate in the thread/conversation that follows.

Would you be happy if I was linking to someone else's site the whole time?

I don't post a link to every article on my blog and I generally only post to articles that I have written myself.

If RPM does have a problem with it I would obviously stop doing it.
I am yet to hear any complaints for anyone related to MyADSL (RPM, Cara, mods)...

So apologies if this offends you but I don't think I am doing anything wrong and unless one of the mods or RPM feels differently I'll keep on posting articles I think gaming console people will find interesting...

If this is spam, then I would like more spam please :p Its topical, its interesting and he goes to the effort of typing up his own little briefs for us, so we know whether its worth clicking or not to go ahead and read the entire piece. The briefs are also good for the interested parties to immediately engage in the discussion by responding to his questions/statements/arguments etc.

It's also not just a random link dump. At least GM comments on the article when he posts the link . .

. .. and we get to take the mickey out of him . . . ;)

I don’t mind GM posting links to his own blog.
It is btw South African and I would rather support a SA blog than some other website...

what's the rule on people who advertise services in their signatures? e.g. ARF9999 in this thread has: Monthly resets of caps are just wrong, WebAfrica allows for rollover on prepaid accounts.
I mean, Axxess Africa has the same option.

Back on he topic . . .

. . . 2 million units, sitting on Shelves . . .
. . . Can I say it, oh please, please, please . . . ! :D

But obviously Axxess Africa don't have satisfied customers like me. ;)

GM keep it up. Fresh news and opinions is what drive forums, for those offended simply stay away from the thread or post something relevant.

As for the topic - Sony HAS GO TO cut the price of that blu-ray player, nevermind that it can play games as well. ;)

Fair enough. Then it just just me feeling otherwise.

Yeah it's just you.

On-topic:

It would be good all round if $ony dropped their prices. They need to put consoles into hands otherwise it won't matter. It would also force M$ to drop the 360s price.

Than I could get mine for even cheaper when I finally do actually get it.

Oh, and keep it up GM. I'm too lazy to search up this stuff. :)

Okay I won't, there's enough salt for wounds without me . . . ;)

Good? Forza 2 demo, C&C3 demo, GH2, Halo 3 beta, I'm having a wonderful week thanks ;)

The Sony'ista aren't actually having too bad a one either, Some of those game announcements coming out of the Sony games day look interesting. Socom will probably move a good few thousand units. All the bad finance press is probably good news in disguise for gamers. It looks like Sony have caught a nasty wake up and will need to pull out a lot more stops. Free bluetooth headset with retail Warhawk? Not bad. Although they should have stuck in the box with the PS3.

If the stock is sitting they'll have to cut the price. No matter how much they lose per unit, it's still a hell of a lot more if they don't sell the unit at all! And that's the thing they absolutely need right now is a bigger gamer install base.

Yeah, I felt kinda robbed not finding a headset at all in the PS3 after that hefty price tag.
