Sopranos and citrix servers !

Hi, I have 2 questions that I hope some of you could help me with!

1 : I watched Season 6 episode 12 of the Sopranos last night.. seriously, is that how it ends? With them having a christmas dinner with no resolution whatsoever?

and

2 : At work we are 'working' on a citrix server, I am using windows 2000. How do I install msn messenger without being an admin on this pc i'm using?
I downloaded it once, and when trying to install it said I have to be an administrator. Help please!!11!eleventyone!111
 
1. there are 21 episodes of season 6...

2. if us admins wanted you to use msn messenger, we'd have installed it for you... edit: try messengerfx.com (and if it's banned, it's cause us admins don't want you using that either :P)
 
1 ) its the sopranos.. go search the net..

2) like above.. if us admins wanted you to use it, we'd have installed it... we clearly don't so we have revoked your installation priviledges and if we catch you trying to circumvent that, bad things will happen to you. You have been Warned.
 
Most clever admins, anticipating problems, will disable the installation of unauthorized software.

Don't try to bypass that - you might land in hot water over violation of company policy.

I can have a stab at no. 2

The thing is you can probably download the .exe file, however to install/run it you need internet connectivity to run it, which would direct you to the Citrix server farm, where policies are set against certain types of apps by Admin, like instant messaging.

I could never sit through an episode of The Sopranos.:)
 
Sopranos is the money.
Everyone should watch it, better than Heroes + PB + Greys + Smallville.

Haha, so strange you say that, I had to log a call earlier for someone to fix my printer. Damn citrix!

And if you're a developer, trying to figure out why something runs fine on a desktop but not over citrix, you'd hate it like I do :p

Look at this email just sent out at my work (citrix = lame)

Hi All

Thanks to someone who is unknown at this time, the Sandton HO network just went down for just over an hour.

Somehow a network cable was plugged into 2 wall sockets causing severe problems on the network switches and in the process bringing the network down.

Please call the helpdesk (xxxxxxxxxxxx) if you are unsure about how to connect any devices to the network.
