My wife sits about 40 meters from the tv. She needs headphones, wiresless or wired to listen to the tv. There is no power plug where she sits, What headphone would you suggest, if wireless the batteries should last long.

Are you sure it's 40 metres..???

Then an RF wireless headphones would be a good choice..

You can also use a Bluetooth transmitter with Bluetooth headphones.. though, mileage may vary greatly here, between the transmitter, battery life and quality of Bluetooth headphones..

Buy a Mibox and use Bluetooth 5.0 earphones.

But as far as I know, you can only pair one set of earphones, so no good for families.

Since there’s hdmi, the tv isn’t THAT old, and should probably have a stereo/headphone out?

If so, get this and buy any wired headphones you wish, as these are 5m and can be run subtly from the tv to where the Mrs sits:
