Hi, a few days ago i installed 2 350W 6 by 9 inch speakers and 2 140W 6 inch speakers into my Corsa. I'm running them off the stock head unit with no amp. I just want to know if i could damage anything by doing this and whether I need an amp?

get an amp and sub, trust me you love the sound... i fitted sound to my golf a few days ago, and the sound is pumping:D

it's not so much about loud sound but clear sound. nice base and vocals... although sometimes it's just to loud that i switch it off and sometimes i just turn up the volume:D

I could give you advice about sound, but it wouldn't be sound advice.

Lol nothing will happen.
Its using the power from the radio, it can sound better with an amp.

As for breaking something, put it loud and find out!
But be careful, its an Opel lol who knows what will happen!

Yes you can blow the speakers if the head unit is underpowered. So don't crank it up for sustained periods.

Hi gents

I want to know what sound I can install into my old skool Mini (1977). Do not want to cut body panels etc. Any advise.

Cutting is essential. Back when I installed a pimp'in Sansui front loader into our '89 Microbus the space inside the dash was too small. We drilled some holes and ended up behind the radiator but at least our kief multicolour flipdown display Sansui head unit was installed flush the dash.

Sold the van 18 months later before rust/fire was a problem.

Jasas bru, you mos have to ease up with them guns behind the drill, ek sê? How about putting an inverter with one of them kiff Dixon five.one home movie amps from Cash Crusaders and hooking up some lekke speakers for the larnies cruising with you?

Ag flippit! Now you tell me. We should have done that with the van! Cherries would have smaaked that stukkend!

What made the kief multicolour flipdown display Sansui head unit a hit was the auto skip-mix-dj feature it had. When you drive on pretty much any surface it would skip like a mofo! Good times, jasas bru I miss those days, when I was big and my van was dirty and pumpin' sokkie-daansbaan-broeknaai-treffers.

My van had 4 wieldoppe and a kief multicolour flipdown display Sansui head unit that almost touched the back of the radiator. If you think my head unit is long you should check out my... head unit.
