Sound Card help please!

checked everywhere now, can't see Rear settings disabled any where.

the Rear speakers are both going "tssss" when i put my ear close to them.

could it be that the MP3 will not play in the Rear because it is Stereo?

You should have gotten software that is able to play sound through each channel. Alternatively, you could just download software...

A guess wud b u need to use the utilities that came with the mobo audio drivers to turn the line-in into a rear out.. like http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showpost.php?p=594395&postcount=14

I dont think its enough it remove and add things in volume control. U may hav to assign ports in the audio manager. Wat mobo is it?

My winamp and windows media player plays mp3s on all chans

i just reinstalled drivers and did what the booklet says to select 6 channel audio..

still nothing, sigh.

if u plug the cables into the card the other way around.. the sound plays on the rear speakers?

i had to enable 5.1 in Front speaker AND in Rear speaker.
