hi guys. what is the diff. between the two ??

Is there a performace diff. or is it just what extras you get in the box ??
 
just front panel is different methinks - check creative website
 
Are you looking for a gaming or music card btw?

Creative is only really money well spent if you are looking for a gaming card afaik, especially when you want to spend as much as those X-fi's cost..
 
okay then enjoy.

I would think the Platinum is better for you then, as you don need music at all.

but they should both run with the same DAC's etc. so maby just check out which is cheapest and if there are any obvious problems with it, and the cheapest if the X-FI range might be your card.

as i saw from the Creative web site .. the hardware specs are the same it's only the Bundled extras thats diff.

i dont need bundled extras ..... :p

and the Music Ex-treme is under R1000 and the Plat it almost 2k :eek:
