Sound Engineers...Advice please

It seems my Audigy 4 is not up to the task!

I have a Behringer MX 1604A and a Rode NT1-A

What would be a nice sound card to have to complete the picture for a little project studio? Also, who should I buy from, bearing in mind that I need it yesterday?

Your mic and your mixer are okay. Your soundcard is for playing games.

Search for Pro Audio Audio Sound Card in Google and buy the most expensive card you can afford. It won't be easy to decide which one to get, because everyone in the far East, and his uncle, makes one.

What monitors do you have? They are at least as important as your audio interface.

I have a Novation Nio 2/4 and it does the job for the work I do, i.e. computer only, no live instrument recordings.
