Sound Gurus - Help

I installed a P3350 Pioneer double din HU. The sound quality is very poor, I've played with all the settings, changed all the wires to see if they were crossed somehow but nothing.

Using the standard speakers. I refuse to go back to Rivonia Car Sound, they can't even install a radio!!!

Worse than it was before? Probably something with the wiring.

Ok so I swapped the rear negative with the rear positive, it sounds better not but how it was. I also saw that it has unused wires from the HU, as per the manual, some are for a beep sound when the car is in reverse, another for the volume to decrease when all the windows are up, a mute wire, one for the remote, one for a beep noise when the park brake is on(this might be silly if you parked) it also has a TV function all the accessories supplied - not in my box, what a waste.

Another thing I noticed, the screen dims when the lights are on, so if I drive with my parks on during the day, I cant see the screen.
Lights off, I can see. Small issue, sorry Lead SA

Thats a power issue.

Check that all of the wires have power when they should, I've come across cars where the ignition 12v reads much much less. The other thing you can have a look at, is see that it has been properly earthed, some guys try and earth HU's somewhere on the dash, I prefer finding an earth wire and connecting to it.

You should have gone with a cheap single DIN LG head unit. It will blow your mind bru.
