Sound Problems

I have some problems with the sound on my Computer. In games and even in Itunes sound will sometimes "stutter" or "hang" for brief moments. Then return to normal. I have a Sound Blaster Audigy card but I don't think that's the problem. I can recall that this happened even before I installed the card. I run Microsoft Vista and have all the latest drivers.

Any ideas on what this can be or how to try and resolve it?

start/run then type dxdiag, go to the sound tab and do the test your presented with and check the results afterwards.

The file P17.sys is not digitally signed, which means that it has not been tested by Microsoft's Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL). You may be able to get a WHQL logo'd driver from the hardware manufacturer.
