Shared wall with their living room with their entertainment/tv. Sadly it's not living to living, but living x bedroom. Normally this isn't a problem, but post 11 pm up to 2 am kinda grinds my nuts. What is the noise that is bothering you? Music, voices or their bed?
Horns pointing in their direction?Rhino wall.
Pretty much, but I've been wondering if one couldn't perhaps do a mini vacuum in between.Im pretty sure all you can do is add insulating foam and then drywall over that.

Will do. I've tried the comms route before and it was good for a while. I'll have a chat with them and the relevant parties again before taking it further.Isn't it just easier to ask them not to have their sound up so loud late at night?
Yes, you could insulate your bedroom. Just bear in mind it is never as effective as you think. Some noise always gets through.
Also bear in mind this has fire risk implications - insulation is often flammable. Have someone with experience look at what you plan to do. It might also limit whether you can hang things on the wall.

We just bought a flat and flat above has wooden floors. What can I do to insulate the space between our ceiling and the wooden floor for sound proofing? And which product is the best?
