Hi.
I have a 2014 Kia Picanto and looking at upgrading the sound but still play with my factory fitted head unit.
I have a Sony 1000W Sub, 400w 6x9s, Predator 4 channel 4000w amplifier, High to Low Converter. I will keep the original door speakers.
I would like to know whether I "NEED" a split system, capacitor and do twitters add any special noticeable effect?

you wont necessarily need a split kit, as you are planning on putting in 6x9s already.
tweeters, would be great as long as its a decent pair(Pioneer, SPL dynamics...) it adds a nice finishing touch to a sound setup.
Capacitor is not really required.. but looks kind of cool and does serve a purpose....

Can't just state anything as a rule here.

What are you chasing in your sound? Volume or clarity?

What's your source? If Mp3 then just close this tab and walk away and never think about this again.

If you have decent lossless source then a component system is probably your next move for clarity. For loudness it's pointless, just hasten your journey to deafness by adding yet another sub.

Lol that's really bad advice, mp3 works just fine. Why would you need lossless in a car. I can barely hear much of a difference between 320 bit rated mp3 and lossless flac on my senheiser head phones never mind in my car sound.
