Didn't the Soviets support the Arab countries. Unfortunatly through corruption and a fixation with Israel they wasted thier money. It is not Israel's fault for using U.S support to build their own infrastructure while their neighbours destroyed themselves.

Respect someone who wants to annihilate you. I don't think so.

Only in self defence. But after the peace agreement there has been no wars between them and Israel.

Crikey. Everytime there's mention of a rich country some tit goes on this little bender. Rich as in the most Powerful and Controlling countries in the world - US, Isreal, UK, etc. Rich in terms of GDP is an economists way of pulling wool over whomever is willing to listen's eyes - and means nothing in the power lines of the world.

Among other reasons, Isreal feels they are infallable. But truth is, without the US military and bankroll, they would just be a poor desert country in a disfunctional part of the world.

Did you know in South America backpackers post signs asking for no Isreali guests staying in their backpackers. Why? Becuase they trash the lodging consistantly. Really stupid thing to do. Just sleep and be on your way.
