South African data prices - Mobile vs Fixed

It's not the cost of data with ADSL, I get 20 GB anytime data for 1 month at R 99-00. It is the land-line rental @ R 199-00 and DSL subs @ R 165-00 that makes it expensive for the Micro-users. Mobile data costs are even worse, with Telkom the cheapest I could find @ 29 cents for 1 MB.
Not all users of data requires "night surfer" data, but there is no choice. Why would I need 20 GB data while I'm sleeping? Why not create packages/ plans that suit different customers, and discount those plans? Life isn't only about gaming and downloading movies, provide those that wants that package with it and those that don't must also be provided with what they want.
Simfy and speakers etc. Who needs these obsolete "Incentives"?

No Telkom Mobile data prices?

They have been plummeting over the past few years. I wouldn't consider Vodacon's prices as 'industry standard'.

Cheapest is afrihost mobile on the MTN network with OOB of 0.10 a meg at R10.00 per 100 meg still isn't good value, while cheaper then most OOB, The OOB is rather pointless with afrihost post paid bundles, their 2gig package is R99.00, which is 5 cents per 1meg it scales after that significantly, to make OOB obsolete.

OOB has one thing in mind, money, marketing, "OOB is there to assist when you run out of data" bollocks ......

the vodacom data pricing is incorrect though? its 100 rand for 3 gigs not 1???
