South African VPS

Any South African hosted VPS companies that does on demand instance creation and stuff, similar to DigitalOcean and Linode?
A while ago, I had a WebAfrica VPS server and it was such a mission when I had to wipe my server or install a new distro + get a new IP. Opening tickets and talk to a human being to do that every time I need wipe my server is such a mission and takes forever.

Because some applications and websites target South African's only. So the speed at which a DNS request and the server responds with, matters greatly when it comes to several factors, especially if it's an online e-commerce website, as per this link:https://www.fastcompany.com/1825005/how-one-second-could-cost-amazon-16-billion-sales and https://blog.gigaspaces.com/amazon-found-every-100ms-of-latency-cost-them-1-in-sales/

a speed decrease of 100ms has been proven to increase sales by at least 1%
 
I cant speak for that SEO mumbo jumbo but using a CDN will likely net speeds greater than just hosting it locally...

Like server location is the only thing that influences web page load times. Anyway, this is a big reason for changing server locations and I am sure the OP would have mentioned this, if it was the case.
 
Something you might want to factor in is the downtime on SA host's vs other host

Would love to know who, what and where that has been 'proven'.
Sounds like total garbage to me.
1/10 of a second is barely noticeable to the average human being.

This stupid notion of services in ZA being inferior to EU/US solely because it's local is really getting tiring.

DigitalOcean is the best I have used so far, but because of costs vs what I do with the server, I have chosen Contabo. But check out domains.co.za and also elitehost.co.za. Personally, if I had the cash, I would have stayed with DO!

I need to look at these citations. Sounds like bull**** in real world tests.
 
Bumping this as some of you might be able to help.

I am looking for a VPS in SA, where I can rent a server per hour, as I only need the server for a day or 2. Cloudafrica are not replying to my mails and RSAWEB doesn't have CentOS 7 yet. Monthly costs for a VPS in SA is too expensive for what I want to do.

There are no pay-per-hour hosts in ZA from what I've seen.

RSAWEB and Cloudafrica claim to do it, but as I mentioned, the first doesn't have CentOS 7 and the latter doesn't reply to emails.

Looks like I will then just get another VPS from my current provider.
