I installed SP2 and now I cannot open pop-ups..in by browser

Surely the security settings does not affect firefox as well.I cannot do that
in firefox as well.

No it doesn't. It only affects IE 6. Check your Firefox settings.

I canot see anything worng.Problem is it does not work in IE/FF/OPera as well.

Its a security setting in Internet Explorer 6 with SP2, you have to disable the popup blocker. Tools > Popup Blocker...

I don't know why you still stuck up with IE6 and all its vulnerabilities...
Safest browser to use is Opera. Best customizable browser is Firefox and IE 7 beta 3 is the fastest to launch.

Firefox does it for me.

You can try disabling the popup blocker instead of turning it off.
Tools - internet options - security
click the 'custom level' button
about 3/4 down the list is 'use popup blocker' set it to disable
