Spa in Cape Town - Birthday present!

Hi,

My lovely wife and I will be in Cape Town in Sept, and we will be there over her birthday.

I was thinking of booking her in for a day at a Spa, perhaps Kirstenbosch during the day, a trip up the mountain, or a sunset cruise.

Could anyone recommend a nice spa for a woman who deserves it, or perhaps any other cool activities for a mom who deserves a day off, in and around Cape Town?

Spa budget is about R1000, other activities will have their own budget.

Hi, one of the best spa's in Cape Town is definately the Quantum Spa at the Radisson Hotel.


Re-energize - R835 per person

Salt polish full body exfoliation - 30 minutes
Aromatherapy massage - 60 minutes

It is situated inside the Radisson Hotel, and after your massage / treatment, you can go to the hotel deck and sip a cocktail. It is right on the beach, and the water comes to the wall of the hotel - its amazing and the views
spectacular!!

Nicci -that sounds pretty darn good. She's a sucker for a good massage, sounds like she'll love it.

Hmm, I have been to a few - but tbh, the Spa at the Radisson is seriously beautiful!! You dont at all feel like you are in a spa - the rooms / atmosphere are really nice! I have been to the spa at the Taj, which is not bad, but if you want a wow factor I recommend the Spa at the Radisson - because you can go for a romantic drink with spectacular views - and then afterwards - why not a lovely sunset cruise on a catamaran? There are so many spa's in Cape Town, but I would suggest a place where you both can relax. Alot of spa's are in buildings etc - so I think as its her birthday you want something extra special. Also, at the Quantum Spa the therapist really know what they are doing - I am very picky when it comes to a good massage, and this is one place that knows how to give one

My wife is a frequent visitor to the Life Day Spa in JHB. Time for a change!

As an aside - has anyone been to these Kirstenbosch Gardens concerts on a Sunday? I see there is one on the 11th, do these concerts happen during the day, or evening? Can I take a 1 year old along or is this a bad idea?
