A doccie alleging Yuri Gagarin was not the first in space, but rather Vladimir Ilyushin (son of the famous aeronautical design bureau head). The story was broken in the West in the early 60s by Dr Dennis Ogden, editor of the UK's Communist newspaper. Worth a watch to get a glimpse of the intrigue at the time. Also features Sergei Krushchev, son of Nikita (GC CPSU).

For those interested in the Saturn/Apollo program, here's a group 39 videos, including Quarterly Progress Report films. They give an good insight into the immense engineering challenges and the stupendous project management required to get around 400 000 people to work together to get to the moon.

Developing and testing the F1 engines and the 5-engine S1 cluster are especially interesting.
