Yes you can the swiss were knocked out of euro without conceding a single goal. They are defensive geniuses. There is only one way to play spain if you do not have quality moving forward. You defend like crazy and hope to sneak a goal.

About the pitch, every pitch is sprinkled 10 minutes before the game (Fifa rule). So maybe that is why the grass comes of easier.

On that note: Many complain on this as it gives the balls more bounce, again goalkeepers complaining especially when they saw the Algerian match. I say stop with the bitching if it's not Jabulani it's the pitch.
