SPAM email

I try to unsubscribe from certain spam mail and get acknowledgment however a few days later the emails are being sent again!

Whats going on here? Are these companies just re-inserting into their address-book?

What recourse do I have to stop them permanently?

Send them a nice email explaining your issue. It often works well.

SPAM 101. - Insert an unsubscribe link in your spam message so that when the victim unsubscribes, all they are doing is confirming a valid email. This can be used to build a database of valid email addresses for further use and resale.
