Well... "new" numbers are most probably recycled numbers. Day 1, hour 1 on MTN with my tablet I already had a few calls and smses... now I just leave the tablet on airplane mode most of the time.

When I ported from Voda to cellc a year back I noticed I was getting more spam.

When I got that Afrihost Mobile Data Sim (MTN number and network) fresh number out of the box, about 2 minutes after I put the SIM card into the device, I already won the UK lottery. Incredible.
