Hey guys
After reading Ian Fraser's awesome article "Come Halloween, come Telkom's digital apartheid" (which was discussed in this thread), I was so inspired that I thought I should mail it to every bigwig in the country, include $iswe, $teven White, and a number of other prolific people:

Here is the mail that I sent to the above recipients:
How about you guys do the same and spam the hell out of them until they wake up and do something?

To Whom This May Concern (and that is all of you)
Ian Fraser of the Mail & Guardian wrote an article about Telkom's November 1st ADSL price increase that I believe very accurately echoes the sentiments of very many South Africans. I emplore you to read it here: http://www.mg.co.za/articlePage.aspx?articleid=255417&area=/insight/insight__columnists/
If you cannot access the article, I have included it below.
South Africans are becoming desperate. ICASA have done nothing, and government have done nothing except admit that their shareholding in Telkom is the reason for their protection of what should be a private company (http://mybroadband.co.za/nephp/?m=show&id=983) - at least Lyndall Shope-Mafole has the guts to admit to it.
So really, what are you - as a member of the press, a Telkom employee, or government authority - actually going to do about it? The time for talking and promises expired on November 1st.
Regards
A very concerned South African
